Apply Now: Ecology Society of America Ed Scholars Award

The Ecology Society of America (ESA) announces the new ESA Education Scholars Award program to recognize leaders in ecology education. ESA Education Scholars are faculty members, postdocs or PhD candidates in the ecological sciences interested in learning, practicing and promoting active learning approaches and digital resources in the classroom.

ESA will offer travel awards to the first group of education leaders to support the development of ESA’s EcoEd Digital Library (EcoEdDL), made possible through a grant from NSF.  The goal of EcoEdDL is to provide scientists and educators a forum to contribute and locate peer reviewed ecology education resources that are scientifically sound and pedagogically useful to prepare young ecologists for a 21st century science.
