How will you continue to integrate an aspect of GK-12 and your partnership with graduate students into your teaching, philosophy, etc.?

I will try to mold more lessons to become more inquiry based. I want to get students excited about science. My graduate Fellow will be coming into the classroom a couple of times a week to teach lessons with me.

How has the GK-12 experience changed you, and how has your participation changed the GK-12 project?

I’ve gained a new appreciation for the life of a research scientist. It takes a lot of concentration and accurate note taking. I enjoyed working with my graduate fellow during the summer research experience and look forward to his help in the classroom. I also enjoyed the lectures from the different areas. It broadened my understanding of the different areas.
