How will you continue to integrate an aspect of GK-12 and your partnership with graduate students into your teaching, philosophy, etc.?

I will integrate and use with my curriculum and stress opportunities the program has taught me in Engineering. Her knowledge deepens areas of my instructional content and makes me more confident using her higher level and cutting edge biology applications.

How has the GK-12 experience changed you, and how has your participation changed the GK-12 project?

Working with both physics and chemistry focused graduate students, I have learned, to a greater extent, how math and science coalesce. My teaching has been most impacted by the implementation of cross-curricular activities. For example, relating thermal-expansion to a simple number line, has allowed my students to obtain a strong conceptualization of positive and negative integers. The collaborative effort between teacher and graduate student has allowed my students to learn concepts in creative ways, engendering their interest science, technology, engineering, and math fields.
